Business Women in Education (BWiE) is pleased to introduce its inaugural Women to Watch list – a list of women working in the business of education who are driving change, breaking glass ceilings and supporting their peers. Who are the women empowering, inspiring and supporting others in the business of education? We want to know! We are looking for nominations from you, the members of our community

Event Sponsor:

20th June 2022
4pm – 7pm
Eversheds Sutherland
1 Wood St,

The women on our Women to Watch list will be operators, advisors, entrepreneurs or investors working across the education sector; they may be at the start of their careers and have just moved into the business, or they might be all the way to the top, your chief executives. Their business card could say business leader, partner, investment professional or a trainee. The job title is irrelevant.

The most important thing is that they have empowered, inspired and/or supported you! Their influence is tangible and timely – and they are a Woman to Watch. So make sure in your nominations, you make this clear. All the women on the list will be nominated by you, a Business Women in Education member.

Think about who has empowered, inspired and supported you; who has influenced their peers, staff, leaders and/or students in the business of education.

You might have a longstanding relationship or have just met, you might work directly together or only know of them by reputation – if they have empowered, inspired and/or supported you, think about nominating them.

All nominations will be assessed by a panel of judges from Nexus Media Group and the final Women to Watch 2022 list will be published in May. Nominees will be invited to attend the reveal of the list at a brand new event, celebrating the Women to Watch, to be held on 20th June 2022 from 4pm to 7pm.

BWiE wants to recognise as many women as possible. This list is to help bridge the gender gap within education and highlight those breaking glass ceilings, supporting their peers and empowering the rest of us to do better.

If you wish to nominate, read the below guidance to ensure your nomination is successful.

Please consider the following:

We want to celebrate women who are thinking differently, passionately and through their work are making an impact and bridging the gender gap.

As contributors are making the nominations, please make sure you justify why this woman should be on the list of the Women to Watch this year. While not everyone nominated will be on the final list, the finalists will not be ranked and it’s a non-competitive list. It’s about highlighting the Women to Watch, not putting them up against each other.

Every Woman to Watch who is featured on our list will receive a digital ‘badge’, which can be added to their online profiles, social media and websites.
