Founder and senior manager
Felt NYC and Adult Education at ISTE | Americas
Caroline McKinnon has worked in education for many years across various continents and founded Felt NYC in order to help immigrants in the US. She used the pandemic to pivot change and expand her business, inspiring people around her with a “lesson in resilience and positivity” during a difficult time.
She created the non-profit to give free access to people who cannot access education, such as refugees, survivors of torture, war and trafficking. A volunteer said: “Caroline listens, asks us to guide her and then she offers us the training and tools needed to succeed. She is always so enthusiastic to help bus learn and step up. She works two jobs but will never complain if we need extra from her.”
