Director of learning and development
The Classroom Partnership | Europe
At The Classroom Partnership, one of Georgie McIntyre’s key priorities is to ensure pupils and schools receive the highest quality of tuition from Connex Education Partnership’s 1000+ tutors.
Her “reach for the stars” mentality and “infectious aura” makes her an asset to any company in the business of education. Her experience and willingness to drive herself to learn and to impart her findings in a collaborative manner is described as inspiring. One of Georgie’s peers said: “As a fellow woman in business, I find myself regularly trying to ‘be more Georgie’.”
She is labelled as the “thread between the public and the private sector”, using her networking skills to partner up the two, innovate and ensure teaching and learning is accessible to all. A colleague said Georgie is the ‘go-to’ person and adds fantastic ideas to any project she works on.
Georgie started her career at Barclays Bank as a personal banker and, after a career break to have children and working part-time for the family business, she decided to retrain and study her Masters in Developing Business at the age of 30, which led her into becoming a teacher and lecturer in the secondary and FE sector, head of department and head of school.
