Associate director

Unthinkable Digital | Europe

It takes courage to leave a stable job to start a freelance adventure. Kathryn Skelton took this jump last year and what she has achieved since has been “both inspirational and inspiring”. She has worked with The Open University, Oxford university Innovation, Nord Anglia Education and many more. She has joined forces with Unthinkable Digital, where she continues to be a driving force for digital transformation in the education sector as an associate director.

“Kathy continues to inspire me with her passion for what she does in the digital education space – she continues to find new ways of thinking and help organisations transform,” a peer said. Kathryn has over 10 years’ experience as a strategist and operator in the education sector, specialising in online learning, ed tech and digital transformation.

She helped found social learning platform FutureLearn in 2012, where she headed up strategy development, data and insight for eight years, taking the company from start-up to Europe’s largest private ed tech funding round at a £100 million valuation.
