Sophie Bailey is the founder of The Edtech Podcast and WorkTripp. The Edtech Podcast aims to improve the dialogue between ‘ed’ and ‘tech’ through storytelling, for better innovation and impact. A peer of hers said: “Her work raises the bar regarding lifting up people within the ed tech industry and she is always forging the way and breaking down barriers for women in ed tech. The podcast audience consists of education leaders from around the world, plus startups, learning and development specialists, blue-chips, investors, Government and media. The Edtech Podcast is downloaded 2000 – 3000 times each week from 145 countries.
In 2022, Sophie started a new business, WorkTripp, a marketplace to help high-growth companies book team offsites. The launch of her new venture has inspired other women to “just go for it” and turn ideas into action. “Sophie is someone who just gets on with it and makes everyone around her feel that they could all get their dreams made too, although not everyone has her drive and vision alongside the skills she has. But she never seems to let her gender get in the way of anything and lifts up other women onto the ladder too whenever she can.”
